Section 1: Knowledge of key concepts
1. How much do you know about what Jesus taught and modeled on interracial relationships? Matthew 24, 28; Luke 10, 17; John 4, 10, 13, 17; etc.
2. How much do you know about the passages in the Bible that are key to understanding biblical, multi-ethnic community? Acts 2, 4, 8, 13; Romans 12, 16; 1 Corin 1, 12, 13; Galatians 2; Ephesians 2, 4; Philippians 2; Colossians 3; James 2, 3; 1 Peter 2; 1 John 1; Revelation 7; etc.
3. How much do you know about remaining in Christ and seeing the fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life? John 3; John 15; Galatians 5; etc.
4. How much do you know about the other ethnic groups in your community? communication issues, customs, history, cultural barriers, etc.
5. How much do you know about the biblical concept of justice and the systemic/institutional issues that can hinder biblical, multi-ethnic community? racism, prejudice, misused power, ingroup bias, outgroup homogeneity, etc.
6. How much do you know about building strong relationships with people of other ethnicities? recognizing personal biases, cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution, etc.
7. How much do you know about building multi-ethnic, Christian community? how to define it, comparing it to secular models/metaphors, biblical examples, current examples, dealing with challenges, etc.
Section 2: Actions and involvements
8. How often would you say that you are remaining in Christ and walking in the power of the Holy Spirit? "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." - John 15:5, NIV "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." - Galatians 5:22-23a, NIV
9. How often do you spend time in a Christian community where at least 20% of the people in the group do not share your ethnicity? As a part of your church, Bible study, youth group, college group, etc.
10. How often do you have significant interaction with the other ethnic groups in your community? This does not refer to crossing paths in a store, casual conversations, etc
11. How active are you in promoting biblical justice in the area where you live? addressing injustice, racism, prejudice, poverty, needs of the marginalized, etc.
12. How active are you in addressing systemic/institutional hindrances to multi-ethnic community within the Christian groups you are part of? racism, prejudice, misused power, ingroup bias, outgroup homogeneity, etc.
13. How often do you share your life and resources with Christians of other ethnicities? homes/meals, successes/failures, financial resources, possessions, relationships, ministry, opinions, etc.
14. How involved are you in building, strong relationships with friends of other ethnicities? spending time together, calls/emails, helping with needs, praying together, etc
